Angeline Theresa Johnson

Beloved daughter of the late Michael A. Barber Sr. and Margaret A. Barber (née Pry). Devoted wife of 53 years to Edwin J. Johnson. Loving and cherished mother of eight children: John J. (Susan) Kollander, Robert D. (Maria) Kollander, Daniel N. (Josephine) Kollander, Angela D. Kollander, Kriston M. (Alan Grobe) Horrigan (nee Johnson), Michele S. (the late Jeffery) Kaylor (nee Johnson), Edwin W. (Anexy) Johnson, and Theresa E. (Juan) Avila (nee Johnson).

Proud grandmother and great-grandmother to many who brought her immense joy. Dear sister of Catherine Barber and Margaret “Peggy” Barber. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Angeline was predeceased by her siblings Michelle “Snookie/Mickey” Starling, Michael A. (Diana) Barber Jr., Mary F. “Cis” Barber, and Ruth M. Barber.

Angeline will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to her family. She created a home filled with love, strength, and lasting memories. She was an excellent cook, She enjoyed cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, and was proud to have been the second owner of the former “Sara’s Sweets” candy-making supply store in West Seneca. Known for her generosity, she was always willing to open her home to those in need. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her warmth and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to Hoy Funeral Home, 3855 Seneca St. West Seneca, NY Tuesday April 28 from 4 – 7PM where a prayer service will immediately follow.
