Remember Jerry as a fine doctor and co-resident at Buffalo Children's Hospital. He was a "Good Docter" and I'm fortunate to have begun my career with his help.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I worked with Dr. Daigler on a couple of research projects before I retired from at UB. He was a great guy and always had a smile.

Jerry was one of the most influential mentors of my professional career.  I can clearly recall the cold wintery day that Dr John Paroski (my late practice partner) and I traveled out to Springville Pediatrics to spend the day with Jerry, taking careful note of what it would take for us to recreate such an exemplary pediatric practice. 

Jerry represented everything admirable and profoundly meaningful about being a doctor.  A consummate professional whose spirit will live on amongst us.

Dr Daigler was a mentor , teacher and friend as I progressed through residency at WCHOB. Although I didn’t join Springville  Peds as offered at the time, my admiration for Dr. Daigler continued to grow. 
He will be missed in many communities and groups, but also in my heart.

My sincere condolences and prayers for Gerry and your family. We truly enjoyed our time spent with him in couples league at Springville , great dinner conversations about travel and life in general.  His work on this earth was remarkable and I’m sure your lives together were. I’m happy for the wonderful years he had in this world and I’m sure his works will continue in heaven. Dr. Daglier was the nicest, and the sincerest person my family had the privilege to know. Our children have fond memories of working on the Daglier farm, swimming in our pool over the summer, and skiing at Concord ski club in the winter.

Dear Mrs. Daigler and family, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of such a wonderful man. Teacher, mentor, role model, caring physician- all words to describe him. I remember many of the lessons at lectures, on the floors making rounds, and outside the hospital too. He was a wonderful man who left an amazing legacy. May God grant you all peace as I know he is in a great place now.
I cherish the Springville retreats and how he prepares us not only to be competent physicians but even better human beings.

A wonderful pediatrician and an even better man. Training under Jerry was such a privilege-from cookouts and football games at his house in Springville to that sheepish grin he always had during rounds.  Sincerest condolences to Pat, Beth/Mike and all of the family.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Daigler family. My sisters and I were blessed to have him as our Pediatrician while growing up in Springville. He took more than one phone call from our mother after hours to answer medical concerns and steer her in the right direction. We are also grateful for the fond memories of showing beef cattle at the Erie County Fair with the Daigler clan. Thoughts and prayers go out to Pat and all.

Jerry was my kids' first pediatrician.    He and his group were the  role model for my career in pediatric health care.  He showed me how a rural practice can be integrated with an urban hospital academic practice at CHOB.  My thanks to Jerry and my condolences to his family.

A wonderful Doctor and family friend.  I knew him all my life as his parents yard and my family's' were adjoined.  Then he opened a practice in Springville.  He was the Benson Family Doctor.  A caring man with a wonderful family.  Dr. Daigler will be in my prayers.  Godspeed Dr. Daigler.

My heart is broken at the news of Dr. Daigler’s passing. He was essential in my developing into a pediatrician. He was a mentor and exemplary physician. He loved everything pediatrics and it radiated through his smile. I will never forget him.

Dr. Daigler was the most influential mentor in my career as a pediatrician.  As a young intern I was overwhelmed in a new city away from all my friends and family. Dr. Daigler made me feel welcome, encouraged me to keep going, and helped me become part of the WCHOB family.  I was able to flourish in my residency under his guidance.  He was truly a gem and one of a kind.  His legacy will live on through his family and all the pediatricians he trained throughout his time at WCHOB.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jerry's passing.  Such a kind, gentle person and amazing pediatrician.  I always remember my time at children's and Hodge with such fond, happy memories.  A time where your work family was just as special as your own family.   Love and prayers to Pat and the entire Daigler family.  He will forever be your angel watching over you. ❤️

I worked with Jerry in the 90s. He was a kind, gentle man and one heck of a pediatrician. He taught me so much! But I remember him receiving an award for something, and I’ll never forget his words. He said his greatest accomplishment was his family. He was so proud of all you! I hope your happy memories carry you through this difficult time. He will be missed.

Dr. Daigler's enthusiasm inspired me throughout my career. I will miss his phone calls full of humor and encouragement. A true role model who will be missed.

I was fortunate to have Jerry as my Adolescent Medicine mentor and partner when I  returned to Buffalo.  He gave me the support to create with him a program that educated residents and cared for our young patients. There were some long days and trying times, but he was always there to hear me and encourage me. 
He was dedicated to his "kids", those at home and the residents in the Pediatric program. That was his way. 
I hope he had many happy days in retirement, especially with his family. 
I send Pat and the entire Daigler family my prayers as they mourn. 
May their faith guide them now, as Jerry's faith guided him in life.

Dr. Daigler was an incredible mentor and role model.   He was an excellent academician,  and exemplified the work ethic that he encouraged in his students.  I feel honored to have been a part of his residency program.  Although it has been 25 years since I completed residency, I still think of him often with fond memories.  I know he will be missed by many. I am wishing his friends and family peace , knowing that he is in the comfort of Heaven.
