Adela was always really nice to me she was always happy to see me I remember when I was a teenager Adela and Moises used to drive by in their big fancy car they were always smiling and waving every once in a while Moises would pull up in front of the house and ask us why we were not working or in school we would always come up with some lame excuse.  every time I Would  bring Moises a Couple boxes of cigars   Adela would say I’m gonna make you some tamales I would always tell her no you don’t have to do that  they didn’t cost me anything  she would say no I’m making them and you’re going to come over Saturday and get them  she would  say if you don’t come over and get them my feelings will be hurt or something like that  They were the best tamales that I’ve ever had and I’ve never had any as good sense I think she made the best tamales because she made them with love  she was such a  loving  elegant lady with class  She will always be in my heart I will always have Happy memories of her. Where do I start.  A 17 year old girl going into a family that welcomed her with open arms. That’s the Lucero’s.  A three legged table that’s in my RV today made by uncle Moses because he didn’t have anywhere to sit his coffee. Calling Aunt Della every Christmas forever to see how to make tamales. I never wrote it down, just called again.  Love beyond words for this family.  Love you all. Carlie

Lucero Family:
We enjoyed visits with Della each Sunday after Mass at the coffee bar. Bob will especially miss the great times they shared going to  Wendover.   Della was certainly a grand lady. We are saddened by your loss, our hearts go out to you and your loved ones, There is a special place in heaven for Della. May our prayers guide  her soul to our Heavenly Father.  RIP sweet lady.

To Della's Family,
I knew Della from St Francis Xavier Catholic Parish in Kearns, Utah. She always went down to the coffee and donut bar with her husband after Sunday morning church services. She was a fine lady who always greeted her friends with a big smile. She will be missed by all the people who knew her.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Kathy, thank you so much for letting me know, it was 30 days ago when you text me and I regret not making it over.  But now I can remember the way your parents were the last time I saw them.  
We met actually by accident through Denny's.  A company said she had bounced a check but her and I both knew that did not happen.  During the course of straightening that out we developed a friendship.  I was always happy to see that white Lincoln come rolling into the parking lot.   Moises and Adela always had a funny story to share with me.  I will never forget their 'special' coffee.  Adela always had that mini, just enough for their coffee, but would always ask "Do you want some Robert".    One year for Christmas they gave me a wooden decoration they had made that I display every year.   It would make  me feel really good when they would track me down at different Denny's so they could come to see me from Murray to Tooele, they would find me and here comes that white Lincoln.  
Today I am having your special coffee and thinking of you.

My dearest grandmother you were always there for me.. i never felt that you were disappointed in me even though you maybe didnt like my choices that ive made in my life i never felt as though you were absent you wrote me when i was away and always made me smile when it came to being a perfect grandmother and role model for  us grandkids you never missed a beat .. im forever grateful to have the opportunity to know you and have you as my grandma i will always remember you and grandpa dancing.. all i had to do was look back at the marriage you shared with grandpa to know what true love looks like .. and how rare a thing that is these days you would smile and tear up when it came to grandpa in conversation you truly were a huge influence on me and i am only able to begin to tell you this in words i know rhat you prolly are on a date with him now i love you and rest in peace grandma.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mother. What a wonderful lady and amazing neighbor your family was throughout our growing up years.   The Lucero’s are some of God’s greatest.  We love you all.   Craig and Leslie Marsing 

Moses and Adela were friends with my grandparents (Herrera) and parents (Martinez) so they were always part of our extended family growing up. They were loving and caring people and will be missed. Part of my history has passed into memories that I will treasure forever.
