Afton Wright Wing Kroon

Afton graduated from Cyprus High School in 1957. She married the late Paul Raymond Wing in 1958 and married Dick Kroon in 1972. He also preceded her in death.

Afton was a very hard worker. She loved history, genealogy and the outdoors. Her hard work and perseverance allowed her to enjoy many years of traveling and surrounded herself with God’s beauty. She was soft spoken and a gentle soul. Afton was an active member of the LDS church and served in the Relief Society of the Millcreek 9th ward for many years. All that knew Afton loved her and her smile.

Afton was preceded in death by her son Ronald P. Wing, sister Lova and brother Denzel. She is survived by her 3 sisters Marian, Leta, Dee and brother C.L. “Chuck”. She is also survived by her children Roy Wing; Diane Wing and grandsons, Cameron and Jacob.

A special thank you to Afton’s closest and dearest friend, Verlene DelPorto, for always being there for Mom.

Viewing will be held at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Thursday 6pm-8pm. Graveside service will be conducted Friday, 12:00 pm in the Valley View Memorial Park.
