After a long struggle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her immediate family on Sunday June 20th, 2021. Survived by her loving husband and best friend, Randall Dee Ostler, her 5 children, Tyler (Rashelle), Jody (Amelia), Dina (Trent), Natalie (Cody), and Brett (Neisha), 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Anita was born in Osceola, Iowa to William Marvin Grimm and Ruby Venice Grimm. Graduated from Granite High school.
Anita spent her life supporting her family. She worked as a Graphic Artist and was amazing with computers. She enjoyed spending time with her husband as well as reading, crocheting, and cooking. Many knew her by the nickname "Mrs. Fix-it" because she had the ability to fix anything and make it work. She was an accomplished seamstress and in her spare time, crocheted blankets for all her children in their favorite colors.
Anita had an extremely strong spirit and was often the backbone for the entire family. As the matriarch of the family, she made sure we got together for family events especially Christmas Eve. She also made all the kids feel special on their birthdays which helped to keep us close as a family. Most importantly, she was a very forgiving mother and wife. It did not matter what kind of trouble we got into she loved us unconditionally. Every one of us will miss her special recipes, like her bean salad, macaroni salad, homemade pies, and cheesecake.
We knew it was forever when she met her husband Randy because no one could love him like she did, stand up for him, laugh at him and keep him in line like she did. She will be forever missed.
Preceded in death by her son Eric (Lynn).
The services will be held at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home 4335 West 4100 South West Valley City, Utah 84120 on June 30, 2021, at 10:00 am.
