Betty Meeker Holyoak

Betty passed away November 15, 2020 following visits from many of her loved ones. She was born in a small community in Lovell, Wyoming November 5th, 1936. She was the second youngest with 5 protective brothers. Most of them, known for their relentless teasing. She was married to Bentley Holyoak on September 26, 1959, after him barely passing the approval of her siblings. They moved their family to Salt Lake City in 1969 to provide a better living for their family. They were married again in the Salt Lake Temple in 1976 for Time and all Eternity. She was known for providing service to those in need. Such as, her and her husband served as chaplains at Pioneer Valley Hospital for about eight years. They primarily provided comfort and support to families suffering the loss of a family member.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bentley, her parents, Steve Meeker and Clorous Shumway; siblings, Steve, Earl, Wes, Metta, Lag (Lawence), and Bob (Robert). She is survived by her children, Dan, Lisa (Steve) Alsop, Mitch (Karla), and Mike (Sherry); 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held for a small private gathering. Special thanks to Carol from Brio Hospice, Beehive Homes, and Valley View Funeral Home for directing the services. Burial, Valley View Memorial Park.
