Carol L. Martin was the type of person to radiate love, forgiveness, and acceptance. The type of woman who would walk into a room, and immediately it would feel like home. Her laughter was contagious, and she had an avid obsession of purple and anything soft. Carol had the biggest heart and loved everyone, especially all of her animals.
Carol passed away peacefully at 60 years old on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on November 18, 1960 in West Valley to Gene Steffensen and Dixie Marchant. She married the love of her life, Jim Martin, on September 5, 1978. Jim and Carol spent 43 beautiful years together, and were an example to all of their children and grandchildren for what love should look like. Carol is survived by her husband (Jim), son (Jeff), daughter (Carrie), and grandchildren (Nadia, James, Ethan, and Hailey). She was a beloved woman by her immediate family, but also from her brothers (Jay and Paul), aunts (Kathie and Lynnette), many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends she made while working at Morneau Shepell.
Carol left a legacy of love that many of us can only hope to achieve and was an amazing example of a mother, wife, and friend. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 30th, 2021 at Valley View Funeral Home & Memorial Park in West Valley City, Utah. A closed casket viewing will be at 12:00, followed by graveside services at 1:00.
