It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Dan L. Pollock. Our father passed away on October 12 of late-stage Pancreatic Cancer. He fought valiantly until he no longer had the strength to fight any more. He passed away at home surrounded by his family, and so like our Father waited until family had left the room for a brief moment and then he chose to go home to be with the Lord.
Our father was born in Grand Canyon Arizona on September 14, 1935. He met and married our mother Loyola H. Pollock on March 26, 1954. Together they had five children and lived in Utah, California and Washington State. Dad was an avid outdoorsman who loved Hunting, fishing, boating, riding his horse-Ralph and spending time at the property he owned in the mountains. Dad served in the US Army, Fort Lewis Washington until he was Honorably discharged. Dad was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything and if he couldn’t fix it, he would make his own contraption to suffice his need. Our Dad was a very hard worker from an early age. He worked at one thing or another since the age of 6 years old. He became a welder and that was his primary career, but his dream had always been to own a Nightclub, which he achieved. Dad loved to tell his life story to everyone, and it was an amazing story! Our father will be deeply missed, but we know he wanted to be with our mother and now they are together for all Eternity in the presence of the Lord.
