

DeMoyne was born on January 6, 1937. He is survived by his wife, Ansje, his step children Mike Blanchard (Riki), Matt Blanchard (Natalie), Kim Bailey (Jeremiah), Ben Blanchard (Jill), 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. DeMoyne is also survived by his children, Colleen Collier (Scot), Glenn Oliver (Cindy), Anne Jaynes (Steve), 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. His only living sibling is LaRee Pedro (Harrison).
DeMoyne is preceded in death by his first wife, Shannon Oliver; son, Mark Oliver; parents Vern and Verda Oliver; brother, Wayne Oliver; and sister, Arlene Roth.
DeMoyne loved homing pigeons. He won many pigeon races over a span of 70 years. He loved the mountains and built a log cabin for his family to enjoy. He enjoyed building things with his hands. He held many callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent many years caring for his first wife, Shannon. He worked for United Airlines on the ground and later learned how to fuel the planes. He also worked for Hercules in his younger years. He grew up in Magna, Utah running around on the hills of Kennecott Copper. He loved playing basketball at Cyprus High School and the team won the State Championship his senior year. He loved gardening in the summer.
A viewing prior to service for DeMoyne will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5775 S 2700 W, Taylorsville, UT 84129, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120.
