Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and devoted Hot Head. Born May 13th, 1950, to Fred A. and Elayne C Larsen in Salt Lake City, she lost her battle with old age on May 22nd, 2024. She grew up on Navajo Street with her siblings Carl, Freddy, and sister Elayne. She attended West High where she was involved in Key Club and Field hockey, which we believed she lettered in.
She married Eugene Craig Booth in August of 1971, and planted roots in West Jordan where together they lived and raised their family, and where she ultimately passed away.
She was a great mom, tough but great. Always on your side even if you were wrong, she had your back. Even if she wanted to kick it at times, she had it. Through the years she worked in many places and odd jobs, but eventually settled at O.C. Tanner where she retired in 2011. The best day of her life was saying goodbye to the slave mines, as she put it.
She loved to go bowling and was a member of numerous leagues throughout the years. Mom also enjoyed camping with the family, especially at the Spruces. She loved jewelry as we have found out going through her things these past few days, and in her “golden years” she loved to paint on her phone.
Our mother could be difficult and stubborn “a strong Larsen trait” and could hold a grudge with the best of them. You hadn’t been yelled at until you’ve been yelled at by Aunt Jane. For those of you that have been on the receiving end of this, we are very sorry, and apologize on her behalf. Just know she loved everyone, just had a funny way of showing it at times.
She is survived by her son Todd (LeeCherie) Booth, son Trevor Booth, and daughter JaCrai Wallace, 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and numerous other family members. Preceded in death by her Parents, her loving husband Craig, all her siblings, 1 Grandchild, 1 Great Grandchild, as well as numerous family members. There are too many to list, but just know we love and miss everyone.
Services will be held on Saturday June 8th, 2024, at Valley View Funeral Home from 12pm to 2:30pm with short graveside to follow. All are welcome to attend.
