Evelyn was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met. Evelyn was born on March 24, 1944, in Dorothy, Raleigh, West Virginia to her parents Floyd O. Rosencrance and Emma Luella Sullivan. As a child, she moved to Sunnyside, Utah with her mother, Emma, and stepfather, Jack Janello. There, she developed her strong determination by keeping pace with her three brothers: Floyd (also known as Sonny), Leland (also known as Buddy), and Howard (also known as Gene). Evelyn was a resilient woman, a devoted wife, and a loving mother. She had a passion for gardening and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to serving others, and through her hard work and dedication, she profoundly influenced those around her.
After graduating from East Carbon High School, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where she met the love of her life, Wendell Dale Williams. They were married on August 18, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and shared 32 wonderful years together. They lived in West Valley City, Utah, with their daughter Michelle, where they created a home filled with warmth, love, and cherished memories. She was known as the “best” neighbor and developed deep bonds with neighbors on all sides. She considered her neighbors like family.
Alongside her role as a full-time wife and mother, she enjoyed a successful 21-year career as a Quality Control Manager at Purolator Products. During this time, she formed many cherished friendships and created memories that lasted a lifetime.
Evelyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served with joy as a Young Women President, Relief Society President and compassionate service leader. Through her ministering, she was always in search of 'the one’ in need. Her example of kindness and service will be missed, and her legacy will live on through the countless lives she influenced.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, loving husband, Dale and step-grandchild, Cal. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Eric); step-son, Randy (Diane); step-daughter, Rhonda (Robert); her grandchildren, Autumn (Peter) and Alexander; her great-grandchild, Emalyn; her step-grandchildren, Shawn, Cambria, Jonathan and Jacob; seven step-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who hold cherished memories of her and will miss her dearly.
