

Glenn E. Goodin was surrounded by his family as he placed his cowboy hat back on and saddled up one last time to ride back to the gates of heaven on January 15, 2017, 12:13 p.m. in results to his long and fighting battle of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Glenn Goodin and Helen K. Bruhl-Liston on December 15, 1943.
Glenn’s life was the epitome of remarkable. Glenn was an avid life long horse lover. He trained race horses around the western hemisphere. In his younger years, Glenn served the United States Army for two years following six years with the National Guard. Glenn retired from Kennicott Copper where he worked at the smelter. After retirement, Glenn reverted back to his love of horses where he dedicated his time as a trainer and the Outrider of Wyoming downs.
Glenn will live through his wife, daughters and grandchildren with his life lessons that he taught them, they will forever live with his memory.
Glenn survived by his wife, Vickey Goodin; his daughters, Melissa Little (Scott), Miesha Hawks (Brett); his brothers, Don (Sharon). Proceeded in death by his little brother, Michael (Sue) and Ron Goodin as well his sister Glenda (Jack) McMillan, his grandchildren, Brendon (Jessica), Hayden and Braxton Little - Cade and Caylie Hawks. Glenn also lived through his friends whose lives he touched with his warm heart and larger then life personality through-out his lifetime. Glenn’s family would like to say Thank You to the Nursing and staff at Jordan Valley West and Inspiration (hospice) for all the visits, help and guidance you have helped them through with Glenn and his passing.
A Celebration of life will take place on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
