February 5, 1932 – June 11, 2021
Laura Lea Naylor Fraser, our beloved wife, mother, “Nana”, and friend passed away on June 11, 2021 in Holladay, Utah after battling Alzheimer’s for nearly 12 years. She was known as “Lolly” to all those who knew and loved her. Lolly was born on February 5, 1932 in Murray, Utah to Mary Laura Naylor and Levi Orson Naylor. She graduated from Cyprus High School in 1950, and was very proud to be a Cyprus Pirate. During her junior year at Cyprus, she met the love of her life Jack Fraser. They were married in San Antonio, Texas in 1951 while Jack was serving in the Air Force. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They would have celebrated 70 years together on August 15th.
Lolly was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in a variety of callings. She particularly enjoyed preparing and teaching her Relief Society lessons. Lolly and Jack served several years as temple workers in the Salt Lake Temple. She had a beautiful voice and loved sharing her musical talents with others. Lolly worked for First Security Bank during the late 60’s, she then went on to work for Granite School District for the next 33 years as an office professional. She loved working in the elementary schools and being part of the students’ lives and their education. So many students, teachers and administrators remember her fondly.
What Lolly valued above all else was her family and sweetheart Jack. They were inseparable. Their beautiful home in Magna, Utah was a sanctuary for them, where they raised all three of their children. Lolly loved to travel and vacation with Jack, particularly Palm Springs in the Winter and Lake Tahoe in the summer. All of us remember fondly Lolly and Jack parasailing in their 70’s.
Lolly is survived by her husband Jack, and three children Mike (Janet) Fraser, Taylorsville; Julie (Steve) Sandoval, West Jordan; and Jodi Hutchinson, Centerville; 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers Richard and Wayne Naylor, her best friend and sister Shirley Barton and her beloved son-in-law Todd Hutchinson.
