Mom can best be described as a caregiver. As the oldest of six kids, she was charged with keeping track of her brothers and sisters. Moving into adulthood and married life, she watched over her husband Dick and then her two children Jody and Richard. She was never happier than when she learned she was going to be a grandma. Cuddling, singing to, playing with and teaching Jenessa, Brooks, Colby, Kelley, Craig and Garrett were some of her happiest days. She didn’t limit her care to just people. Family dogs, stray cats, and even a hungry squirrel hiding in the bushes in the backyard all benefited from her big heart. Topping off her brood of loved ones are the eleven and one-on-the-way great grand kids.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Louise Day, her siblings Kay, Don and Elaine, her husband Dick and grandson Craig. She is survived by her children Jody (Brian) Triptow and Richard (Karen) Jenkins, and her siblings Lois (Jack) Quintana and Jim (Kathleen) Day.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Spring Gardens Saint George and Enhabit Hospice. Your compassionate care of Mom will never be forgotten.
