

Mark Douglas Boelter, age 59, passed away on March 4, 2024 in Logan, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 17,1964 to Harold and Alice Colleen Boelter. Mark was raised in his West Valley, Utah family home with his four siblings Richard Boelter, Blair Boelter, Blain Boelter, and Maryann Twitchell. He graduated from Granger High School in 1982 and attended Snow College. Mark was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and he had the privilege of serving a two year mission for the LDS church in Palmyra, New York.
Mark always wanted a big family and through his marriage to his former wife, Barbara Jackson, he was blessed with the birth of his beautiful daughter, MaryAnn Rose Boelter in 1995. In October, 2014 he married his sweetheart, Teresa Boelter, in the Orlando LDS Temple. He always joked about wanting to have enough children for a baseball team and with his marriage to Teresa, he was blessed with five more children. Listed from oldest to youngest Christine Newman, Michael Hackney, Sara Rudd, Shelby Hackney, and Melanie Chun. Over the years Mark and Teresa were fortunate enough to welcome seven grandchildren into their family, Landon, Lily, Emma, Damian, Addie, Mia and Charlotte. Mark was a dedicated husband, father, grandpa and priesthood leader. He was a wonderful example of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mark was always ready for an adventure living in Utah, Florida and Alaska within his lifetime. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, scuba diving, being in the mountains, camping, swimming, riding his motorcycle and four wheeler and always being around nature. Mark was a cowboy at heart in the modern world. He loved animals, especially horses and dogs. When he wasn't on an outdoor adventure, he enjoyed reading, baking bread and grilling for his family. He loved to dance and he and Teresa enjoyed this hobby together. Mark was blessed with an abundance of energy and enjoyed working in a career where he was always on the go. Starting off his long career as a driver, he drove limousines, delivered for Farr’s Ice Cream, Pepsi-Cola, and ultimately a 27 year career with FedEx. He was a skilled musician playing several instruments including the trumpet, piano and singing. He participated in football and wrestling in school. He enjoyed watching movies, every genre from Lilo and Stitch, Hello Dolly and even Top Gun Maverick. No matter where he was, he could make anyone laugh with his unique sense of humor and zest for life.
Mark is the definition of a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Once you were able to break through his layers, you would find a person willing to help anyone. Mark had a big heart and was loyal to his family and friends. He was a true example of Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed, as he passed so young, but we truly know that through the Atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we will be with him again.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents and his niece Julie Ann Boelter.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Country Crossing Stake Center building located at 11122 S Black Hawk Dr. South Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, prior to the funeral at the same location from 11:00am to 12:00 p.m. Burial will be held following funeral services at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
