He married Jeanne Peck Beck McPhie. Michael has two children Michael McPhie, Eldora McPhie, and gained 4 more, Bruce (Colleen) Beck, Tammy (James) Wood, Larry (Jana ) Beck, Julie ( Michael ) Benton, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Michael graduated from Murray High School. He served in the US Army and US Marine Corps for some time. He worked many years at Kennecott. Michael loved to cook, crochet and cross stitch, and may other crafts. He really enjoyed seeing his grandkids. He also loved his Scottish heritage.
A viewing for Michael will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
