Micheal Alden Hardy (Mike, Dad, Mikey, Papa, Grandpa, & Uncle Mike), 82, born in Milford, Utah to Alden & Donna Hardy on May 18th, 1943, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025. Raised in Magna, Utah where he was the oldest of his siblings. He enjoyed playing baseball, he was on the swim team and played the Saxophone. He graduated from Cyprus High School in 1961.
He fell in love with the girl across the street who eventually became his wife of 62 years. Mike & Sherrie married in Elko, Nevada on February 27, 1963, right before moving to Texas for his job. They lived there for a short time before moving back to Utah where they raised their three daughters. Mike was a hard worker graduating from Salt Lake Community College and then ITT College as a draftsman. He worked at Unisys as an Industrial Commercial Artist and moved on to Merit Medical as the lead draftsman where he retired.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, and hunting. Winters were spent on the slopes skiing. He played softball for many years, with his wife and daughters cheering him on from the bleachers. He also enjoyed his bowling leagues and has several trophies and pins to show off how good he was. He enjoyed attending car shows with his 1965 mustang, winning several 1st place trophies. He loved taking all the grandkids in the mustang and being part of the parade. He enjoyed his trips to Hawaii, DisneyLand, and Seaworld. He and Sherrie enjoyed several Alaskan Cruises. He was very proud of the Alaskan King Salmon fish he caught.
Mike was a devoted family man who loved and spoiled everyone, including his dogs. Although sometimes grumpy, we all knew he loved us with all of his heart. He hosted many BBQs, birthdays, most holiday celebrations and even weddings at his house. He loved to play bingo and was very proud of his bingo bucks and prizes he won. The last bingo he played he got his first blackout, and that made his day. He loved to talk and tell stories, even if you've already heard it, he would go on telling it.
Survived by wife, Sherrie Hardy; daughters: Lisa (Bret) Stock, Laura Hardy, Jenny (Mario) Perfili; grandchildren: Thomas (Julie), Amanda, Joey, Brittnie (John), Anita, Dylan, Savanna (McKayla), Brooklyn, and Caity; along with 15 great grandchildren; brother, Ron (Tina) Hardy; sister-in-law, Lori (Daron) Rowell; and many nieces and nephews.
