Patricia (Pat) "Gambler" Ann Davies

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend passed away July 18, 2021. Pat was born September 1, 1949 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Melvin Edward and Lovena Schofield Butcher, both preceded her in death. Pat came from a large family of 15 children. Pat married her sweetheart Walter Davies on January 26, 1968 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married until Walter died on November 8, 2019.

Pat's biggest joy was taking care of her kids and grandchildren. She had a great love for old-time country music, singing, and cooking food for her family. She made every holiday magical and always put others before herself. She was loved by everyone she met. You would often find Pat at a casino in Wendover.

Pat is survived by her two daughters Kristi (Jerry) Compton, Kathy Davies, son, Brian (Sherri) Davies, 8 grandchildren: Ricky, Michael, Shelby, Allison, Trevor, Jason, Nikkole, and Natalee, as well as several great grandchildren, brother, Dennis (Lola) Butcher, and sisters, Sherrie Zenger, and Susan Whitehead. Pat is preceded in death by her husband Walter Davies, her parents, 7 brothers: Glen, Larry, David, Donald, Norman, Lloyd and Jerry, also 4 sisters: Bonnie, Shirley, Maxine, and Joyce.

The family would like to thank IHC Hospice (Valerie, Morgan, Trish, Andrew) for their love and care of our mom during her final days and hours.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at the Kearns 10th ward 5025 West 4865 South, Kearns, UT 84118. Interment to follow at Valley View Memorial 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City UT 84120. A luncheon will be provided following the interment at the church listed above.
