Growing up, Patricia (Pat) enjoyed a fruitful childhood of Girl Scouts, taking ballet and ice-skating lessons with her sister, Barbara, skiing lessons with her brother, Richard, whom she was the fiercest protector of; and tending and caring for her baby brother, Robert. As fate would have it, Pat met her soul mate and best friend, Larry, in 1970 at the Post House Restaurant in the Greyhound Bus Depot in Salt Lake City where he was working. They later married on January 28, 1972 and raised their four wonderful children in West Valley City, Utah.
Pat graduated from West High School in 1974 where she played the flute and was quite the social butterfly. She was competitive; enjoying both softball and volleyball in her younger years and later in life, that competitiveness spilled over to bowling, cards and board games. Early on, she worked as a seamstress, cash auditor at ZCMI, reviewing claims for an insurance company and as a driver for dental supplies; in addition, Pat was a faithful Sunday School teacher with her Mom, Katherine, for many years at Holy Trinity.
Her real calling was her family; she loved spending all of the Holidays with family. From 4th of July parties at Grandma and Grandpa’s to Christmas Eve at her own home—she found real happiness in being with those she loved. All the way to the end, she relished in carving pumpkins, dressing up to hand out Halloween candy, building ginger bread houses, celebrating New Year’s, dying Easter eggs and birthday parties at the The Spaghetti Factory. Her smile was undeniably joyful and would light up a room when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at these events.
Pat will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband Larry; children, Jennifer (Nathan) Taylor, Christopher (Cindy), Jamie (Cody) Cloward, Gregory (Katie); 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Mike) Cameron, brothers, Richard (Laura) Webb, Robert Webb and numerous extended family members; she is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Katherine.
