Patricia Ann Sanders

10/28/1951 – 03/14/2023

Patty Sanders, beloved Sister, Aunt, and Friend peacefully passed away on March 14, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.

Patty was born October 28, 1951, to Robert and Shirley Sanders in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by sisters, Dianne Starks, Cindy (Charlie) Huggard, brother Gordon (Lezlie) Sanders, brother-in-law Allen Peterson, many nieces and nephews, special friend Susan Yoshinaga and other dear friends. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Shirley Sanders, sister Jody Peterson, brother-in-law Wayland Starks and nephew Chad Riding.

She was raised in Granger, Utah and graduated from Granger High School, and attended Salt Lake Community College. Patty worked for Valley Mental Health for 31 years in purchasing and as Purchasing Manager where she made many life-long friends.

Pat loved league bowling at Delton Lanes and was an avid golfer. For many years, Patty volunteered for the Nationwide Tour at Willow Creek Country Club where she met many professional golfers. Pat was a great Utah Utes fan and loved tailgating. Her carrot cake and chocolate brownies were loved by all.

Patty was devoted to helping family and friends in any way possible and would make herself available at a moment’s notice. Many of us remember her running us to the airport, watching our kids, feeding our pets and numerous other kind gestures. She was always with us to celebrate the good times and supported us during the sad times.

A special thank you to the staff and residents at Riverway Assisted Living where Pat made many new friends. She loved her life there.
