Randel Randy Joseph Farrimond

1958-2012

Having fought a valiant and courageous battle, Randel Joseph Farrimond, 53, won his freedom on the 4th of July, 2012.

Born August 30, 1958 to Robert and Joy Kerr Farrimond in SLC, UT, Randy graduated from Kearns high school, served an LDS mission in Tallahassee FL and obtained an associate degree from SLCC. On September 18, 1980 he and his sweetheart Kristine Loraine Bartell were sealed together in the Salt Lake City Temple and made their home in Hunter, UT where they raised their four children.

Randy was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions in the Hunter 36th Ward, and served as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple; however, his greatest contribution was the faith and courage he displayed in the face of adversity. Through him miracles were manifest and faith in the Savior was strengthened.

His life was dedicated to the support of his family and his greatest joy came from spending time with them camping, traveling and playing. Favorite family times included running the Snake River and time together at Disneyland.

Randy is survived by his parents, wife, Kris, and children, Brandon (Melisa), Jason (Jamie), Ashley and Kaitlyn. He also had three grandchildren the pride of his life, baby Jack Randel, Jason, and Carlee. He is also survived by two sisters, Pam Adams and Judy Johnson, and his brother, Rod Farrimond.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 12:00 pm in the ”Hunter Park” LDS Ward building, 3665 S. 6000 W., WVC, UT. Friends may call from 6–8 pm on Tuesday, July 10 at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S., and on Wednesday, 11 am, prior to services at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
