Thomas Renehan (age 54) passed away August 15, 2010 in West Valley City, Utah.
Thom was born on January 19, 1956 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Thomas Charles Renehan and Joyce Arlene Beasley.
Married Mary Beth Whallon (divorced), then married Mary Jane Berame the love of his life, on November 14, 2005 in Lapu Lapu City, Philippines, later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Indiana State Police Academy, and attended Indiana University, where he studied social work.
He was Town Marshall of Universal, Indiana, a foreman at Bemis Bag in Terre Haute, Indiana, and customer relations manager for Alorica in Magna, Utah. Thom was very adventurous, creative and curious, also an expert genealogist. He loved coaching little league and spending time with his family. He diligently served as a High Priest in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day-Saints. Thom had a great sense of humor, bringing laughter and humor to every family gathering. Hobbies included computers, cars, church activities, woodworking and the great outdoors.
Survived by his loving wife; children: Rachel (Joe) Lathrop, Chuck, Jeffrey (Jamie), Rodney, Gerald, and David; mother, Joyce (Richard) Durrant; sisters: Sally (Curtis) Whalen and Tamera (Alex) Ortega; and brothers Michael (Lori) and J. Adam Scott; and 1 grandchild. Preceded in death by his father, and brother Gerald Paul.
Funeral Services will be held Friday August 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Valley 2nd Ward, 3150 West Whitehall Drive (3985 So). The family will receive friends Thursday Aug 19, from 6:00p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 So, also one-hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment Valley View Memorial Park.
