Tom attended West High School and later married his wife Patricia Rae Wilson on February 8, 1974. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, telling stories, and riding on his pontoon. He also enjoyed going rockhounding for Topaz, as well as watching NASCAR. Most of the time you would stop by and he would be in his shed doing woodworking or in the kitchen baking.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Patricia Baum; his daughter Kimberly Casey (Travis); his son Tommy Baum (Heather); his daughter Kelly Statton; and his son Timothy Baum; his brother Terry Baum (Karla), his sister Shirley Aguayo, his sister Janet Jenkins (Mike), his sister Hazel Baum, his brother David Baum, his brother Larry Baum (Kerrie) and his sister Robyn Hingley (Erik). Tom also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Tommy was preceded in death by his son-in-law James Stratton; his father David L. Baum, his mother Mary M. Baum; his sisters Tammie Bruner and Bonnie Rice; and his grandson Gabriel Baum.
A public viewing for Tommy will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 20, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A viewing will take place Monday, November 20, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM prior to the funeral service.
