Dovie Louvenia Koop

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Dovie Louvenia Koop at the age of 83 on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Born on January 2, 1941, to Opal and Elba Fanning, Dovie's journey was one filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

After graduating from Anaheim High School in 1959, Dovie's life took a beautiful turn when she met Bob at a Halloween party. Later she said, "He came looking for me. I was in love with him from that moment on." Their love story of 64 years this April 9th, was nothing short of legendary. From their early days of living in Corona del Mar, CA and working in real estate to their later years in Indio, the two were inseparable!

Renowned for her vivacious spirit and boundless humor, Dovie had a knack for bringing people together. Whether it was hosting fabulous parties or simply brightening someone's day with her infectious laughter, she had a way of making everyone feel cherished.

Dovie's legacy of love lives on through her beloved husband, Bob, her children and their spouses Valerie & Erik Bradbury, Bob & Sandra Koop, and her four beautiful granddaughters, Kooper, Brynna, Sophia, and Vanessa.

Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will forever resonate in our heart.

Services will be held at Westminster Memorial Park and Mortuary on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12:00pm.
