Colonel Ed Solomon was an officer, a  gentleman, and a great friend.  I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing.   Ed and I became friends during our first assignment together at March AFB, CA, in 1959.  We shared good memories at March AFB, and although our assignments took us each to various locations, we always maintained contact.
My heart and prayers go out to Noël and family during this difficult time.
