

Frank Archibald Thompson Jr., was born on May 8, 1924, in Newport, Rhode Island. His parents are, Frank Archibald Thompson Sr. and Charlotte Phillipine Blumenburg, both originally from New York. Frank is survived by his wife Harriet Thompson, and his daughter Christine Silva.
Frank served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1965. He made a career in the Navy as a Chief Electronics Engineer until he retired. His service to our country includes involvement in numerous capacities including, Seaman, technological operator, yeoman, radar communication, and other special programs. He served aboard several vessels during his tenure as well as the recipient of numerous awards, including victory medals, good conduct and various campaign awards.
A visitation will take place at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683 on Wednesday evening March 28 at 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday morning, March 29 at 9:30am in the Westminster Memorial Park Chapel, followed by a committal service at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA at exactly 2:01pm.
