John Evrand Fitzgerald

John Evrand Fitzgerald Sr., 82 of Westminster, California, passed away on July 28, 2021. John's nephew Ric Guerra will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary.

John was born in Buffalo, NY on September 9, 1938. He graduated from Downey High School and from there he joined the Navy Reserve.

John was married to Darlene on July 3, 1965 at St. Gregory The Great Church in Whittier CA; they were married 56 years.

John worked as an elevator mechanic and service repairman for Montgomery, Dover and Kone Elevators for 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and baseball but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

John was loved by his wife Darlene, his 3 children and their spouses; John Jr. & Trish, Nikki & Rich, and David & Lisa, his 10 grandchildren; Rick, Nicholas, Crystal, Ryan, Isaiah, Kendall (KJ), Trey, Abigail (Abby), Andrew and Michael, his brother; Richard Sr., and his sister; Kathleen as well as his half brothers Robert, Brad and Barry, and his half sisters: Patti Sue, Barbara, Jane, Judy, Beverly and Bonnie. his nephews and nieces; and his Godson Aaron.

John is preceded in death by his father, Ira Rosell Fitzgerald, his Mother Viola Ester (Theel) Fitzgerald Bickford and his step father Samuel Bickford.

The Family of John Evrand Fitzgerald Sr., would like to thank The U.S. Department of Defense for providing The Military funeral honors ceremony. Ric Guerra for officiating & Dignity Memorial for service arrangements, as well as EWTN Network and Holy Spirit Catholic Church for being his main source of spiritual guidance and comfort through the years.

A Celebration of John's life will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA 92683.
