She attended Morgan High school and graduated in June of 1946.
She worked for North West Bell telephone company after high school and enlisted in the Air Force in January 1950.
She learned how to operate the teletype machine and spent seven years in the Air Force hoping to see the world. She did get to Texas, Seattle and California.
She left the Air Force in 1957 and moved in with her relatives in Southern California.
She started working for Douglass Aircraft in 1960 as a teletype operator. There she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Sullivan. They married September 29, 1962.
She had a terrific life full of family and friends. Not only did she work she sang in Sweet Adeline’s, Westminster Chorale, Buena Park Chorus and the church choir. She was active in Westminster Community theater, drove cancer patients and meals on wheels. She was very active in politics and above all she loved entertaining. She had family Christmas parties for 37 year where all the relatives could gather and celebrate. She and Robert loved to travel, they went on many cruises and visited all but eight of the fifty states.
She passed away on March 16, 2020. She is survived by her daughter Mari Campbell, granddaughters Michelle Wong, Elizabeth Wright and Melinda Hammond, two great grandsons Conner Wong and Bryce Hammond and many nieces, nephews, cousins and shirt tale relatives.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert Sullivan, her brothers George, Rudy and Raymond Popovich as well as her parents Michael and Rose Popovich.
We will all miss her very much.
