Born on May 31, 1933, in Long Beach, Patricia—known affectionately as “Patti” to those who loved her—was a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She went on to have a long and dedicated career as a quality control technician with Procter & Gamble, where her intelligence, diligence, and attention to detail were deeply valued.
Although Patricia married twice in her lifetime, she often reflected that she never quite found her soulmate. Nevertheless, she filled her life with purpose, love, and joy, devoting herself to family, friends, and her beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Patti had a tender heart for animals and a nurturing soul, forming lasting bonds with the many dogs she cared for over the years.
She was a woman of many passions—an avid traveler, an excellent cook, and a lifelong lover of dogs. Beautiful, intelligent, strong, and compassionate, Patricia will be remembered for her generosity, wit, and unwavering devotion to the people and pets she held dear.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy M. Cook and LeRoy F. Cook, and her brother, LeRoy F. Cook, Jr. She is survived by her brother David J. Cook; nephews Christopher Cook and Andrew Cook; nieces Laura Cook and Nancy Cook; great-nieces Sarah Cook, Serina Cook, Caitlin Mosman, and Jamie Mosman; great-nephew Hayden Cook; and extended family members including Jennifer Cook (wife of Christopher Cook and mother of Hayden and Sarah), Lisa Cook (wife of Andrew Cook), and dear friend Sandra Bejarano.
A visitation for Patricia will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Westminster Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel, followed by a graveside service in the Garden of Devotion at Westminster Memorial Park.
Patricia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
