

He was born to Frederick Henry Bachman and the late Paula Bella
Bachman on October 30, 1956 in Hollywood, CA. He attended
school in Hawthorne, CA. Rick married Diana Dominguez on
May 11, 1991 in Buena Park, CA.
He was hired by American Airlines in 1976 at Los Angeles International
Airport where he worked as a Crew Chief on the ramp. He left AA on
October 12, 2012 due to cancer. He officially retired on January 3, 2013
after 36 years of service, He was a member of the TWU Local 502.
He was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Huntington
Beach, CA. for 17 years.
Because of American Airlines, Rick was able to travel the world. He loved
to spend his summers vacationing in St. Maarten with dear friends
and his family. Most of all, he loved to fish with his sons and friends.
Rick followed the LA Dodgers, LA Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys.
He enjoyed training in karate where he ranked as a red belt before illness
prevented him from pursuing his black belt.
He is survived by his wife, Diana of Westminster, 2 sons, Eric Anthony, 28
of Irvine & Christopher Michael, 21 of Westminster, 2 daughters, Nicole
Antoinette, 18 & Ashley Rose, 14, his great-great Aunt Antoinette Gridelli,
all of Westminster. His father, Frederick Henry of Westminster, 2 sisters,
Karen & Cheryl, 11 nephews, 3 nieces and 1 grand-niece.
A viewing will be held at Westminster Memorial Park in Westminster, CA
on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm with a rosary to be held
at 6pm. The burial mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in
Huntington Beach, CA on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10am. Procession to
follow the burial mass to Wesminster Memorial Park in Westminster, CA where
Rick will be laid to rest.
