Sam,
Oh I wish I had spent more time with you when I lived in Southern California.  You are a very wonderful, loving, faithful to God soul, and one who loved all men and was true to family. I remember when you shared the story that for years, every Sunday you and your family fasted and prayed for a family member going through hard times. It is just who you are, loving and thinking of others, especially your own kin, you loved so deeply.   I miss you and have thought of you often over the years and the beautiful example you were to me when we knew each other.   I am so grateful I had time to get to know you a little. Today I was looking for you again on the internet hoping to reconnect.  I was so sad to see you have passed on and I would not see you again on earth.  We will meet again, in heaven and I will have a million hugs for you.  I know you have great joy in Heaven.  You are Home.

Hey uncle Sam. It's been about 6 years since your passing. Even though your gone I still find you in my thoughts and in my dreams. What I wouldn't give to just have one more conversation with you. Im grown now uncle and I really wish you could see how much I've changed. I'm still trying to live by your example to this day. I wanna let you know  I've decided to dedicate my life to helping others . I'm enrolled in emt school and I'm hoping to become a firemen.  I know I'll make you proud uncle Sam. Uncle its been a full year today I'd like to say a lot has changed since you've joined our heavenly father. I really miss you uncle Sam you've truly been one of the biggest blessings in my life and I hope you know that. I wish you were still here to guide me and help me grow but I shall continue to try and live by your example and try and be an example for others. I was looking for contact info for you and your family. I am deeply saddened hearing the passing of a wonderful soul. I haven't seen or talked with you and your wonderful loving family in many years. 
However you all have been in my thoughts and prayers daily. 
You are the light and you are the love. 
God Bless your family and peace be with them.

Sammy, thanks for being a great friend and an even better man. Friday nights will just not be the same without you. I know that you are now whole and playing again. I know you will be with God and watching over the Charger football team. God's grace be with your family. I love you Sam.
