I miss Tim and his smile and laughter.  I miss hearing the same old stories that he and Kenny would tell and laugh at as if they were telling them for the first time.  

It's so hard to believe it has been a year since Tim went home.  Even still it doesn't seem real that Kenny & Tim passed in the same week.   I miss their crazy stories and their laughter so much. Even though we had heard those stories hundreds of times, I would love to hear them one more time.   It would get very loud when those two were together.  What I remember most is Tim's  complete devotion to his family and how he loved being with his kids and grandkids.  

I grew up with Tim in Pico Rivera. We played wiffle ball all the the time. He was the Dodgers and I was the Giants.  Tim also gave me his old strat-o-matic game. We were in the same class in grade school through Jr. Hi. Until I moved in the 9th grade.  The group of Greg Pearman, Randy Roberts, Tim and I could always be found at the school playing pick up games. Tim was always fun to be around. We always had fun. Sorry I lost contact with him.  My condolences to his family.

My brother Tim has always been my best everything! As kids, he was my best friend. As adolescents, he was my best advisor. He was the Best Man at my wedding and , ofcourse, I picked him to be The Godfather to my precious daughter Devin.  There is no greater example to me of someone who truly loved his family . He lived an incredible life and the love between Tim and Lu is Epic!  No one can replace my fun , funny, full of joy Brother! Forever in my heart! Timmy, I love and adore you !!

I had just started dating Devin when she invited me to Easter 2006.  That was the first time she introduced me to her Uncle Timmy.   I’ve honestly never felt so welcome into a family!   Timmy teased Devin with “nice meeting you today, have a great life” figuring that I was here today, gone tomorrow.   But as Devin and I grew closer, I grew closer with Aunt Lu and Uncle Timmy as well.   I loved his infectious laugh and light hearted spirit.  Within a year or so of that first Easter, they invited us on a cruise to Mexico.   That was my first experience trying to keep up with Uncle Timmy at a bar.   Big mistake!   

More recently, Aunt Lu and Uncle Timmy have been such great Grand-Aunt and Uncles to Austin and Russell.  They are always thinking of them.  From Hawaiian shirts, to souvenirs, to silly gifts for no apparent reason.   We would go out to dinner and Austin would be the star of the show telling Timmy stories and Timmy laughing with that famous laugh.  The best was the story of how Uncle Timmy slipped on a Duffy Boat and Austin thought he was fighting off sharks and became a superhero.  

No one will ever replace Uncle Timmy.  He will be a bright spot in our memories forever.  

What can I say to honor the best Uncle on the planet. I hit the jackpot when I got Aunt Lu and Uncle Timmy as my godparents. They are both unbelievable people. They were there for all of my “big” moments such as college graduation, weddings, birthday parties, meeting new babies. With great pride I would introduce everyone to my “Uncle Timmy”. My best “pre-COVID” memory was from Thanksgiving. Austin was really into knock knock jokes, and so he pulled out his knock-knock book. Austin and Uncle Timmy went back and forth swapping jokes and LAUGHING. There is no one like him and no way to replace him. I will cherish all of my fond memories and many many laughs. Prayers for Aunt Lu, Amy, Brian and family. 

I have so many memories about Tim, but the one that comes to mind the most is when he and Ken got together either in person or on the phone, they mostly just laughed.  Often they would tell the same stories and laugh about the same things as the last conversation, but they still cracked each other up. 

Tim was always so caring about Ken during some very hard times in our lives.  He made sure to call him often, even for just a few minutes.  He let us know that he was there for anything for his brother.   They always ended their talks with "I love you."   Now they can talk and laugh for eternity!  



Tim Green was someone I will never forget having spent so much time with him growing up. He was my first baseball coach, and I was able to share my talent making mud pies in the outfield. I had many memorable times playing with Brian at Woodchuck campground where we enjoyed bothering Tim for more quarters for the arcade. I fondly remember cruising back to Temecula in his VW Bus. I always liked to make him laugh when I could and probably spent so much time in his house I should have paid rent. I definitely watched a lot of sports around him, Laker games, Bruins basketball, LA Rams, etc. It was easy to see that Tim loved life and lived it to the fullest. Rest in peace Mr. Green.

We wish we could be there in person to hug you all and let you know how dear you are to us. Tim welcomed us into your extended baseball family, and he always had the kindest and most encouraging words for TP.  He had an enormous heart and the ability to make everyone feel like they had a place in it. He will be greatly missed, but loved and admired forever. We pray that God will wrap his loving arms around you and give you peace and comfort. 

I remember Coach Tim from little league baseball when the kids were young. He helped my husband Jeff Crockett coach every year.  Now coach Jeff and coach Tim can reminince in heaven together. Our prayers for them both. So much fun, that the baseball family has remained in touch all these years. We will miss them tremendously.  My love and prayers to the Green family. I am Tim’s doctor and we have been through a lot together. I have performed countless procedures on him without one complaint or even as much as a sigh. Luanne was always there with full attention focused on Tim and care taken to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. I have never seen a wife who cared so much and loved her husband so deeply. This was a unique relationship from my view point, unlike any other. It was genuine and solid. Something we all shall aspire to. Tim, you were loved and cared for in life, and you will continue to be in death. Luanne, you are a queen. We love you.

I first met Tim our senior year in high school at a place where we both worked. He had a such a great sense of humor and he was fun to be around. Tim seemed to have that ability to endear himself to anyone and everyone he met. After high school we got an apartment and enrolled in college together. I will never forget those days cruising around Orange County in his convertible Fiat sports car and the night he met Luanne.  Those were some of the best days of my life. I am thankful to Luanne who arranged a surprise reunion in Phoenix last year and I got to spend an evening with Tim and Luanne once more, after losing touch with them for over 40 years. Tim was still the same as I remembered him back in 1968. And in course the night, he left no doubt how much he loved his family. It is great to see how many lives he touched and friends he made over the years.
Thank you for those great times. Rest in peace my friend.

So sorry to hear of Tim’s passing.  I only met him a couple of times, but he had a wonderful smile and always seemed to be happy.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear of your dad's passing.   What a tremendous and upbeat guy.    It was a pleasure to have gotten to know him.   Always positive after a tough lost or even a blowout.   You would have never guessed how much fun this guy had playing BINGO.    We were in Reno at the Grand Sierra Resort and he led the charge.   I mean total raucous, obnoxiously loud of course a few drinks over hours and hours.   They would yell and scream and count out of how much they won.  ONE TWO THREE FOUR WOO HOO!   Yup they won four dollars but made it appear like they won $4000.   He'd be in the middle of it raising a glass.   Just knowing him the little I did, he was so supportive of Brian's ventures as an assistant (where there was many stops).   I did see him once when Brian left UH and took on his dream job at UCLA and a chance to be close to home. I am so sorry for your Dad's passing. The Mann Family is holding all of you in our hearts this holiday season. Please know I get on my knees every morning and say a prayer for you and your Family.  I know what an impact your Dad had on you and I can't imagine the pain you, and your Family are all feeling right now. But, I also know this...the kind of Husband, Father, Son, Coach and Man you are is the greatest legacy to your Dad. He left deep tracks with you and you are an extension of all the good he stood for, and poured into you. Every kid you lift up on that baseball field and every beautiful action you take to build baseball culture has Tim Green smiling within it. I love ya Bro. Prayers.

While we only got to spend a short amount of time with him, he will always be Baba to the Field Family. We love you all deeply and are so incredibly sorry for your loss. 

This is one guy that always had a smile on his face every time you saw him. Tim and Luanne were always having a great time. He is gone way too soon. RIP Tim.

Pete and I had several opportunities to mingle with Tim and Luanne. He was always such a happy, funny and friendly guy. He and Luanne seemed such a fun loving couple. They have so many great friends who will miss him greatly. RIP Tim it was a true pleasure to know you.
