In memory of a wonderful neighbor and friend Wes! 

You watched over the Neighborhood,  always looking out for everyone and keeping an eye on things with care and kindness. Your presence made our community feel safer, warmer, and more connected.

You were more than just a neighbor—you were a guardian of this street and a friend to us all. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

So sad to hear that Wes has passed. He was always kind to us and willing to lend a hand. Back in the day when Wes used to be a night owl, he would be working on his truck late at night, and we always felt safe when he was around. We knew that no one would get past Wes. I'm sure Huntington Beach's homeless community will miss him too. He used to bring them blankets and try to help them in any way. He really did have a good heart. Rest in peace, Wes. You will be missed.

So very sorry to hear of Wes’ passing, he was sweet to me and my grand daughter Isla, she loved the owl he had by the tree in the front yard and the “pretty pink flowers”, he made sure she had some to take home - he even cut a small branch from his tree so she could enjoy those flowers. Praying for peace and comfort for his family.

In Loving Memory of Wes

We are deeply saddened to share that our neighbor and friend, Wes, passed away on March 6th. Wes was more than just a familiar face on our street—he was a guardian of our neighborhood and a kind soul who truly cared about the people around him.

Always attentive to the safety of others, Wes made it his mission to protect the kids whenever they were outside playing. He would put out signs and flags without being asked, quietly ensuring everyone stayed safe. It was just who he was—thoughtful, dependable, and endlessly considerate.

I was fortunate to befriend Wes recently, and I cherished the time we spent talking. He had a lifetime of stories from his long railroad career, and he shared them with a joy and clarity that made you feel like you were right there beside him on every mile of the journey. His wisdom, humor, and kindness made those conversations truly special.

Wes will be deeply missed—by his neighbors, by our community, and by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, and may we honor his memory by looking out for each other the way he always looked out for us.
