Donald Bernard Temple was born October 10th, 1930 at Ratcliffe, Saskatchewan. He was the eldest of four children born to Jake and Rosie Temple. Don grew up on the farm and returned to that occupation after several years of drilling water wells and working in the oil patch.
On September 28th, 1951, Don married his first true love, Dene Karen Anseth. Don’s work allowed them to reside in various locations throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. Throughout 63 years of married life, Don and Dene were known to be kind and helpful neighbours with an enviable work ethic and a reputation for warm and generous hospitality.
After moving on to a new chapter in his life, Don tried his hand at baking solo. Many a Bison Manor resident was fortunate enough to sample his irresistible cinnamon buns, bread and donuts.
Don was devastated by Dene’s passing in 2013. Not long afterward he met and married Doreen Edge with whom is resided at Bison Manor until his move to the Weyburn Special Care Home.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Jake and Rosie Temple; first wife, Dene Karen (Anseth) Temple; sisters, Joyce Olson and Dorothy Doud; brothers-in-law, Eddy Doud; son, Jerry Temple and daughters, Leann Doud and Brenda Temple.
