

Joseph was born of Hugarian decent on Nov. 6, 1918, the youngest of nine, on the Krumenacker farm. He attended Muckamore school and completed his education by correspondence courses.
He married Mary Haas on June 25th, 1947 and Mary and he celebrated their 63rd Anniversary in 2010. He was always a romantic, bringing mom the first spring rose every year.
He grain farmed and raised livestock. He was gifted in his way with animals and especially fond of his horses and dogs. He enjoyed trout fishing from the dugout.
Joseph was very active in his church parish, was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, helped serve mass and also participated in serving many banquets and funeral lunches. Joseph and Mary were group leaders in a church program called “Marriage Encounter” where they worked with young couples; goal being, to enrich their marriages. He helped to build “Mary’s Grotto” in McTaggart.
He served as a municipal councillor for the R.M. of Brokenshell and was very proud of his “Century Farm Award.”
A kind and gentle man, Joseph was devoted to his family and farm. Though he suffered from poor health many times, he never complained. Joseph was a testament to what a deep and abiding love can be.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, John & Susanna Krumenacker; son, Andrew Krumenacker; great grandson, Kohler Moore; special nephew, Roy Loos; sisters and brothers in law; Barbara (John) Loos, Sue (Bill) Chambers, Beth (Jim) Campbell, Lena (Frank) Loos, Ann (Bob) Johnson, Margaret (Bill) Somers and infant Margaret; sister and brother in laws, Ann Baer (Henry), Frank Haas, John Haas, Alice Haas, Katherine Exner, Emily (Art) Mallory and Marg (Joe) Chastkavich.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Krumenacker; 3 children, Mona- Maria Krumenacker (Randy Steinhauer), Val Joseph Krumenacker and Joanne (Gary) Domes; 5 grandchildren, Rebekah Jo (Jason) Moore and Nigel Domes, Nicole, Kimberley and Jillian Krumenacker; 7 great grandchildren, Zayne and Gage Domes, Ayden, Levi, Grayson, Marren and Koah Moore; brother, Michael (Rose) Krumenacker; brothers in-law, Victor Haas, Jack (Caroline) Haas, Bill (Marg) Haas; sisters in law, Helen Haas and Ann Haas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. from the St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan with Father Gerry Bauche officiating. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Prayers will be said Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM from the St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
