Dear Marg and Family
When I think of Laurence what first comes to mind is his sense of humour and what a good friend he was to all he met. But that is soon overshadowed by thoughts of the depth of love and pride he had for his Margie, and his family. That itself is a legacy to be cherished.
Lorne often shares memories of playing ball with Laurence, and through the years I’ve heard a lot of stories of the Colfax Cardinals; they played hard - on and off the field!
Laurence was a kind, honest, thoughtful, humble and gentle man who touched many lives and will be missed. We both feel blessed to have known such a special person, and will always remember him with a warm heart and a smile.
With deepest sympathy.

Our sincerest condolences to Margaret and family! Laurence was well known and a very much respected gentleman his whole life, and we will miss running into him around town. We have many wonderful memories of times spent at ball games and ball tournaments, when Laurence played with the "Colfax Cardinals". We loved following the team and sharing so many good times, good games and good healthy laughter! Allan and I, enjoyed watching him curl, and being such a good sport in everything he and/or Margaret participated in! A real gem of a guy! They just don't come any nicer! Earths loss and Heavens gain! We hold you all in our hearts and thoughts, as you prepare to go forward with only your memories of this wonderful man, who loved you all so dearly!

So sorry to hear of Laurence passing. We were neighbors, business associates and more importantly, friends during his tenure in Williston.
Laurence came to me one day and announced that I was going to curl on his team in the Weyburn Oilmans Bonspiel . I had never curled before but he said no problem.
I didn’t distinguish my self but we did knock off one of the favorites thanks to his captaincy. I can hear him *if you can’t get it to the house then throw it all the way through, never leave a rock short.
My condolences to his family. He was a good man with a life well lived.May God Bless and Keep Him.
