So sorry to hear of the loss of Richard. He was a great person and we always enjoyed visiting with him. May your memories bring you comfort.

Hanging out alot through my teenage years with Nancy Farr, I got to know alot of her relatives and family friends.
When I saw Dick or heard Dick Thompson's name  mentioned..it always put a smile on my face!
Such a fun loving man with a huge heart and a pillar in the Bengough community.

Having known Dick all my  life, I have so many fond memories of him. He loved to tease, he always had that twinkle in his eye , but when he had that smirk on his face, you never knew for sure what might be coming next. He was so very kind hearted. And he did so much for the community and the people that live here. He was so dedicated to the ambulance .. I  would like to offer my heartfeltcondolences to Brenda & Dean. Dick was a big man with an even larger presence. He was truly a pillar of the community — always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. His good-natured teasing brought smiles to so many, especially to the nurses and anyone lucky enough to be in his company.

Dick’s dedication to the Bengough and area ambulance service was remarkable. He gave countless hours responding to calls and supporting families through some of their most difficult moments. His steady presence and caring nature made a lasting difference in the lives of many.

He loved his community deeply and showed that love through his tireless involvement and support. Above all, Dick was a devoted family man, proudly standing by them and rarely missing an event.

His kindness, humor, and commitment will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Dick was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone and he certainly did a lot for the community. My memories are many, from being a flower girl at his and Betty’s wedding, to baby sitting the girls. But one of my favourite memories is the ambulance trip to Regina when he held a spot light over the OLD glass incubator to keep the tiny Mossing twins warm. I was happy that he was one of the ambulance attendants on that ride. 
Dick was always good for a conversation and always with a smile.

As the saying goes,Dick was one of the good ones,My favourite memory was of Dick as our  Ladies Softball Coach,He was always busy involved in so many things, but he made time to coach the team,
In later years he would drive his truck around town and it was always great when he would stop and have a visit.RIP Dick,you will be missed.

Dick was such a character. He was such a tease always with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Dick was a vibrant member of the Bengough community. 
Whenever I think of him I can’t help but smile.

Dick was one of those men in Bengough who seemed to be involved in everything .....sports, community, etc.  As a young person, when Dick spoke, you listened!  Bengough has lost a lot of great builders lately and Dick would be a perfect example for young people today to follow!

Condolences to Dicks family. I only knew him a short time but it was impactful. He was one of many who welcomed me when I started working at the Health Centre. I was blessed to call him a friend.

Where to start with the memories of Dick. So many times he would sneak up and startle us. Big grin cause he did it again! Working in old hospital and move to the health centre Dick was along for the ride. Will miss him..

Sending much love to all his family. Cherished memories carry him forward and honor his legacy. 
My fondest memories are of the many years working ambulance with him.  He exuded a steady calmness and humility that never waivered. Both Betty and Dick were always very supportive and I appreciated that. After particularly difficult runs, a debriefing at their place was a quiet time with a shared rum. Allowing  time to just exhale and give pause. I admired and respected the kindness and dignity he gave to each and every patient. He showed high regard for the profession and respected those who worked with, and for him.  He was a good man. Outside of work, he always had a quick wit and a sparkle of trouble in his eye that you were challenged to match or just smile and shake your head. Lol He will be kindly remembered.

My sympathies to all of Dick’s family. He and Betty were dear friends and are missed in the community. Time has a way of telling us that it is time to move on His legacy will not soon be forgotten.
