Rose "Bunty" Emily Anderson

With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Rose Emily Anderson, affectionately known to family and friends as Bunty, on July 28, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born on December 21, 1934 in Francis, Saskatchewan, Bunty spent her life in the community she loved, where she raised her family, formed lifelong friendships, and found joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life. She believed that life's greatest treasures were not material things, but the relationships she nurtured and the memories she created with those she loved.

Bunty was predeceased by her beloved husband, James (Jim) Anderson, who passed away on October 29, 1982. Though she missed him dearly, she carried on with quiet strength, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family.

In her younger years, Bunty enjoyed playing softball and curling, activities that brought her lasting friendships and many happy memories. She remained an avid reader throughout her life, rarely without a good book nearby. She also enjoyed many afternoons playing scrabble or crib and she also loved spending time in her garden each summer and enjoying the fruits of her labours.

Bunty was one of the first residents of the Francis Seniors Home, where she lived from 1986 until June 2026. After a brief stint in the Weyburn hospital Bunty moved to Midtown Care Home in Weyburn, where she resided until her passing.

Her family is deeply grateful for the care, compassion, and kindness shown to her by the staff and residents of both homes and the hospital.

Above all else, Bunty's greatest joy was her family. She cherished every visit, every holiday, and every milestone, taking great pride in watching each new generation grow.

Bunty is lovingly remembered by her children, Stewart (Karen), Dale (Gail), Scott (Yvonne), and Wendy (Gordon); her grandchildren, Brittney (Cody), Jamie (Darren), Amber (Matt), Barrett, Jordan (Jen), Michelle, Craig, Curtis (Kristen), Riley (Brittany), and Cody (Danielle); and her 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy.

She is survived by her sister Mary Keeler and her sister-in-law Margaret Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews.

Although our hearts are heavy with loss, we celebrate a life marked by love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to family. Her memory will forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved her.

At Bunty's request no funeral service will be held.
