Alice Loraine Kendrick

Alice Loraine Kendrick, age 96, of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2021. Alice was born February 11, 1924, in Lazare, Texas to parents Mary Alice and Willie Burge. She was the oldest of eight children, and graduated from Lincoln High School.

At the age of 19, Alice married the love of her life, Elmer Dow Kendrick, on October 22, 1943, in Bell, California. They made their home in Denver, Colorado where they raised their two children, Linda and Lisa, and lived happily for 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Alice started working at a young age, first as a cotton picker and from there moved on to many new experiences such as secretarial work, being a waitress and finally, worked in Montgomery Ward's Catalog Department. Most of all, she loved making a home for her Husband and children. She enjoyed sewing, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by three of her siblings, Sally, Beth and David. Her two daughters, Linda and Lisa (Ken), grandchildren, Derek and Spencer and Logan, great-grandchildren, Kyle and Zach. And her four wonderful caregivers.

A visitation for Alice will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A committal service will occur Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80236. A burial will occur at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W KENYON AVE, DENVER, Colorado 80236-3000.
