

Anna was born on August 11, 1946 in Shanghai, China. She moved to Hong Kong when she was five years old and relocated to Taiwan when she was six.
Anna graduated from Ming Chuan University with a two year degree in General Business. Soon after she gave birth to her only child, a daughter, Wanyu “Annie” Hsieh when she was twenty-four.
Anna worked as an office clerk in the Taiwan Provincial Highway Bureau for about twenty years. After that, Anna immigrated to the United States in 1986 at the age of forty and worked in the Casino business in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and lastly, Black Hawk, Colorado. She moved from California to Denver in 2004. She retired from the casino business in 2013 and traveled from Denver to Los Angeles to Taiwan throughout her retirement.
Anna loved mahjong and the casino life. She enjoyed math and puzzles. She had a natural aura and people enjoyed her company. She enjoyed being around people, and people enjoyed being around her, often referring to her as “Mama Anna”.
She is survived by her sister, “Nancy” Yu-Hsing Hsu, her brother, Yu-Kong Hwang, her daughter, Wanyu “Annie” Hsieh, and her granddaughter, Jeannie Vong.
A funeral service for Anna will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
