Antonio "Tony" C. Fernandez Sr.

Antonio was born on February 28, 1937 in La Junta, Colorado to Eduardo and Maria Fernandez. He was one of ten children.

He married Elsie Aragon on May 27, 1961 and they have five children. Denise, Antonio Jr, Michelle, Terri, and Steven.

Antonio worked at Rocky Flats from 1980 until the time of his retirement in 1998.

Tony liked shooting pool, listening to music, and going to Las Vegas and Black Hawk. He enjoyed family gatherings and sharing jokes and stories with his loved ones. He loved the Broncos and WWE Wrestling, but most of all, he loved and cherished his family.

Antonio is survived by his wife, Elsie Fernandez; his children, Denise Hamilton, Antonio (Cindy) Fernandez Jr, Terri Perkins, and Steven Fernandez; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jose (Anna), Ricardo Sr. (Tomasita), Miguel Sr. (Andrea), and Rolando Sr. (Laura) Fernandez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Talmich; parents, Eduardo and Maria; sisters, Grace, Jenny, and Angie; brothers, Ralph and Gabe.

There will be a visitation held at Crown Hill Mortuary in Serenity Pointe (7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO) on December 5, 2024, taking place from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary will occur at 6:00 PM that evening.

Antonio's funeral mass will be held at the Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church (7555 Grant Pl, Arvada, CO) on December 6, 2024, taking place from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM. There will also be a reception to follow.
