Barbara Trenam was born on June 14, 1942, in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Bennett, Colorado in 2019. On March 2, 2026 she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), and passed away at the age of 83, on April 24, 2026.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Sherry Rice (Elliott) and Terry Willis (Mike); her daughter-in-law, Stacey Malone; her brother, Donald Cain (Beverly); her grandchildren, Joseph Malone, Elliott Rice, Megan Matzke, Jaye Willis, and Tyler Willis; and her seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Cain; her father, Joseph Cain; and her son, Patrick Malone.
No one was a stranger to Barb, only friends she hadn’t met yet. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel instantly welcome and at ease. Her family was her world, and no matter the time of day or night, she was always there, offering unwavering support, love, and guidance. She was a wealth of knowledge and advice, always eager to share her wisdom with those around her. Her compassion extended beyond people to her beloved animals, whom she cared for with unmatched devotion. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barb found it ironic that she was diagnosed with a cancer that is normally considered a childhood disease. To honor this, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Barb has joined her loved ones who have preceded her to heaven and will be waiting with open arms for those to come.
