Bernie passed away October 29, 2014 after a long battle with Parkinson's. He is loved and survived by his wife, Sharon; granddaughters, Katherine, Jacqueline and Stephanie; grandsons, Matthew, Christopher and Michael; great-grandson, Connor. Bernie was loved by siblings, Mary Jo, Margaret, David, Alice, Leo, Ramon, Helen and Loretta.
He was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Maria; nephew, Christopher and son, Michael William Garcia.
Bernie graduated from Lakewood High School in 1960 and received his degree from Red Rocks College. He served his country in the US Navy and retired from the Naval Reserves. He retired from the US Postal Service.
