

Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1925, in Walters, Oklahoma, to Richard Lawler and Alice Brice Lawler, Bobbi grew up in Oklahoma and later moved to Colorado with her mother. She attended school in Denver and graduated from East High School.
She joined the Navy in 1950 and served her country in Washington, D.C., and Arlington, Virginia. Discharged in 1951, she met and married Donald Holliday, and they continued to live in Denver, where they had two children, Jay and Michael.
Bobbi held numerous titles and jobs, including working for Dr. Edward Teller in the development of the hydrogen bomb in New Mexico, serving as a sales representative for Olan Mills Photography, and owning a preschool in Wheat Ridge. In her later years, she became an accomplished writer and poet, sharing many of her works with friends at her Lakewood Assistance Center. She was loved by many companions and friends at Lakewood Reserve.
Bobbi is survived by her son Jay (Kathy), grandson Derek (Lindsay), and two great-grandchildren, Jadon and Reeve; granddaughter Jessica Castro (Jake) and great-grandchildren Jacob and Alyssa.
Bobbi also had many friends and caregivers, with special recognition for the staff at Dignity Health (Rebecca, Caroline, George, Samantha, and more), friends and caregivers at Lakewood Reserve, Lataine (her special caregiver), and so many others. She will be missed by all.
A visitation for Bobbi will be held Monday, September 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. A funeral will be from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, with a graveside to follow.
