

Charles was born in Salida, CO on 3/23/1935 to Albert (Spot) Bonati and Anna Bonati. He was also raised by his stepfather, Carl Booth. He was blessed with a 46-year marriage to Kathleen Bonati who passed away in 2001. He also enjoyed a relationship with his “significant other” Beatrice (Bea) Kauffman for over 20 years.
Charles is survived by his four sons: Charles, John, Keith and Scott; ten grandchildren: Chris, Brandon, Natalie, Josh, Shaleen, Sherelle, William, Brennan, Albert, Aaron and nineteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, James Bonati and sister, Rosemary Killin.
Charles was a true “mountain man” who enjoyed outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, camping and boating. He will be remembered as a “sacrificial giver” who was always there to help family and friends.
Charles, retired from Frito Lay after a 35-year career as a route salesman. He loved his job interacting with his customers and co-workers. He developed lifelong friendships through his work experience.
Charles will forever be remembered in our heart as a loving husband, father, and friend.
Charles funeral will be held on Friday, March 08 at Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th Ave. in Wheat Ridge, CO. The funeral will start at 10:00 am in the “Pavilion of Reflection”. A reception will immediately follow.
