It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Christopher. He left this world at the age of 56 after a long and courageous life battling physical and mental disabilities.
Although Christopher's struggles with disabilities may have presented unique challenges nothing could put a damper on his spirit that beautifully touched so many. He was a kind and gentle soul and now God has called him home, freeing him of the limitations of the body he once had.
While he was with us, Christopher was blessed with amazing people that showed so much love for his wellbeing. After the passing of his mother, his eldest brother, Sergei Thomas, stepped in to be his guardian. He made sure Christopher had the best care possible both legally and physically. This led Sergei to find the last, and most wonderful care provider Chris could ever have, Livia. Livia took Christopher in and was the angel he so desperately needed. Livia showed so much compassion, and love to Christopher that was reflected in the look on Christopher's face and the level of alertness that had been missing for so many years prior. The kindness Livia showed Christopher allowed him to experience joyful adventures in the final years of his life. She took him on vacations and outings with her family and made Chris one of her own. Our family will eternally be in your debt for the love you and your family showed.
We will miss his physical presence, but he will forever remain in our hearts.
Matthew 18:2-5
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever, therefore, shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And who so shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
