Danielle Dineen Dupree was born on December 31, 1974, in Jersey City, New Jersey to her parents Loretta Griffin and Rev. Dr. Daniel Dupree. The first of three children, Danielle gained her heavenly wings and took flight, Monday, September 2, 2019.
Danielle was educated in the Jersey City school system attending PS#29, PS#16, and Ferris High School, She continued her education at Rutgers University, Livingston, New Jersey where she received a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. While attending Rutgers, Danielle pledged and became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, incorporated.
Danielle accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized by her father, Reverend Dr. Daniel Dupree at the Convent Avenue Baptist Church NYC where she served diligently on the Usher's ministry. She joined Greater Universal Baptist Church when her father became pastor there. While living in Colorado, she attended The Potter's House, Denver, Colorado, until her passing.
Even as a child, Danielle was the ultimate comforter and consoler-in-chief. She did her best to engage with everyone she came in contact with. She always strived to uplift, to inspire, and to encourage everyone she encountered. Anyone in her presence knew they were supported and cared for. Every goal she set for herself, she achieved. Danielle was the author of the groundbreaking book titled "Slay, the Introvert Way." She was a motivational speaker, a coach, a fitness trainer, and a fitness model. She inspired many through her creative weekly Podcasts titled "Up Yours" where she encouraged others to up their game in order to reach their highest potential.
In 2002, while employed at U.S. Capitol Police in Washington, D.C., Danielle met the love of her life, Ms. Cynthia M. Parker. During their joyous years spent together, Danielle and Cynthia relocated their home to Denver, Colorado and on March 18, 2015, Danielle and Cynthia were united in marriage. Shortly after, they rescued and welcomed fur baby "Pickles" into their home.
Professionally, Danielle followed her many passions. Danielle's love for protecting her country and community led her to become an officer for the U.S. Capitol Police, and officer at Golden Police (Golden, CO), and a criminal investigator for the State of Colorado Department of Revenue, Enforcement Division.
Danielle has left an indelible mark on this world and she will be greatly missed by all of us especially her faithful, loving and devoted wife, Cynthia M. Parker, her trusted and loving companion dog, Pickles (who never left her side). She also leaves to mourn: her parents, Rev. Dr. Daniel and Loretta Dupree, (preceded in death) her grandparents, Rev. John and Annie Dupree, Mr. Joel and Martha Griffin, parent's-in-law, Melvin Sr. & Mary Parker, her brother, Reginald (Megan), her sister, Nicole, (preceded in death) sister-in-law Deborah Parker, Melvin F. (Natalie) & Lewis III and surviving sisters-in-law Sylvia and Marian Parker, countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, God-Parents and other relatives and friends who mourn her loss yet celebrate the accomplished life of this humble spirit. We will cherish the time God allowed us to spend with her.
Dan, go on and take your rest: we loved you dearly, but God loved you best.
