Born on April 22, 1972, in Arvada, Colorado to James and June Ferris. David graduated from Arvada West High and then Colorado State University in Fort Collins Colorado with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Working in the Hospitality field he moved to Colorado Springs and Nashville TN, however, he returned to his hometown in Arvada and pursued a career in Finance for most of his work life.
He lived a life filled with kindness and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He found joy in the mountains—whether skiing fresh powder or riding his mountain bike along Colorado’s winding trails. He had a special bond with his three Labrador Retrievers, who were more than pets—they were his constant companions and a source of comfort and joy.
David is survived by sister Linda (Gene) Brown and his niece Mackenzie (Sam) Plowman and his nephew Jacob Brown, along with two great nephews Cooper and Carson Plowman. He shared lifelong bond with his family especially his niece and nephew, who will always remember his warmth, gentle nature, and the special place he held in their lives. He also had many great longtime friends over the years who kept in touch with him.
Both of David's parents have passed on. James passed in 2005 and he took on the responsibility of watching over his mom in Arvada, mowing her yard and taking care of household responsibilities. He had a close and loving bond with her.
