Dorothy Monica Trommeter (Rome) 91 years of age passed away on Monday, March 15th, 2021 at The Joni Fair Hospice House, Pueblo,CO. Dorothy was born to August & Barbara Rome on March 9th, 1930 in Hill City, Kansas. She married Edgar F. Trommeter on August 23rd 1948 in Selden, Kansas. They moved to Denver, Colorado and together they had 7 children. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents August & Barbara Rome, husband Edgar, sister Barbara Jean Rife, brothers Donny, Leo, & Jerry . She is survived by her sister Betty Grafel, her brothers Eugene Rome (Jeannine), William Rome (Judy), Greg Rome, sister in law Virginia Rome & her seven children. Edgar (Patricia), Robert (Carole), Diane (Randy), Patricia, Sharon (John), David, Jim, daughter in law Linda Trommeter and 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren & many nieces, nephews & friends.
In addition to being a dedicated loving wife, mother & friend, she volunteered with the church visiting the woman's prison making rosaries & teaching them how to pray the rosary. She also volunteered at the local nursing home visiting the seniors & helping to feed those in need. She also loved working in her garden, reading, ceramics, sewing, cooking & spending time with family & her grandchildren. Dorothy will be remembered laughing & wearing a smile on her face. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those around her. She was always thinking of others first. "To know her was to love her".
