

Frances was a wife to her late husband Richard, and a mother to her sons Mike (Cindy) and Rick (Desiree). She was also a grandmother to Marsha, Krista (Ty), Jacob, Dylan (Laura), Geoff, and Travis (Amanda), as well as a great-grandmother to Alivia, Presley, Teegan, Tailan, Braxton, Cooper, Austin, Brynlee, Jaxton, and Rylee, who was born the day before Frances' passing. Survived by her siblings, Bud, David (Dorothy), and Judy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Velma Myers, husband Richard, son Pat, and siblings Bobby, Beth, Edith, and Joyce.
Frances was a remarkable woman with a vibrant personality and a wide range of interests. In her younger years, she was a contestant in the 1954 Miss Colorado pageant before getting married. She had a passion for genealogy and was an exceptional seamstress, even making her own wedding dress. Frances was also known for her remarkable quilt-making skills. She had a strong faith and enjoyed singing in the church choir as well as a gifted soloist. Frances was a 14-year breast cancer survivor
As a dedicated homemaker, Frances raised her three sons in Westminster, Co. She also worked at Joslins Department Store, which later became Dillards, where she retired from. Frances had a love for road trips and enjoyed traveling with her husband Richard. They made countless memories exploring new places together.
Frances remained active even after moving to assisted living with Richard. She participated in fashion shows, dressed up for Halloween, and made many dear friends at her residence. She also donated her time by counting charitable contributions at church and enjoyed solving daily crossword puzzles in the Rocky Mountain News and the New York Times.
In her free time, Frances participated in a bowling league for many years and learned to rollerblade with her grandchildren. She also took up jewelry making in her later years and had a fondness for puzzles, reading, and watching Lifetime and Hallmark movies.
A memorial service for Frances will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the First Southern Baptist Church of Westminster, located at 7990 Lowell Blvd., Westminster, CO 80030.
